Jessi is an experienced administrative professional with a background across a range of industries, including a regional economic alliance, commercial insurance, and the internationally recognized equestrian venue, Spruce Meadows. She holds a Bachelor of Management and brings a thoughtful, organized approach to every role she takes on.
Raised on a horse breeding operation near Pincher Creek, Alberta, Jessi has been part of the equestrian world her entire life. She has explored many disciplines over the years, with a particular love for Dressage and trail riding. Now back in Pincher Creek, she focuses on the training and development of her current horses. Her home is also shared with two dogs and two mini donkeys who keep life lively.
Her professionalism, rural roots, and lifelong love of animals inspire the enthusiasm and care she brings to her role at Mosaic. When she’s not working, Jessi enjoys spending time with her animals or settling in with a good book.
Tracey Ruzicka
Partner & Regional Operations Director
Tracey Ruzicka is the Regional Operations Director for Mosaic Pet Care, proudly supporting the incredible teams at Bridgeland, Royal Loop, and University District Veterinary Clinics. A Registered Veterinary Technologist, Tracey has spent nearly 30 years in the veterinary industry. Her experience spans mixed animal practice, the dairy and feedlot industries, and a lifelong connection to agriculture shaped by growing up on a beef and cattle farm in rural Saskatchewan. Although her background is broad, the majority of her career has been dedicated to small animal practice, working closely with dogs and cats and supporting the teams who care for them every day.
Tracey has called the Calgary area home for more than 25 years and is deeply committed to building positive, connected, growth-focused workplaces where veterinary professionals feel valued, supported, and empowered to thrive. She believes wholeheartedly that when teams flourish, pets and clients receive exceptional care.
At home, Tracey is happily outnumbered by her two Siamese-cross cats: Frankie, the cuddly Blue Point who never leaves her side, and Lucille, the fiery Flame Point with a big personality and even bigger opinions. Outside of work, she loves music, travelling with friends, and finding joy in the small, meaningful moments that make life and vet med so special.
Carina Codorean
Accounting and Administrative Coordinator
Carina is a proud mother of three and lives on an acreage just south of Calgary. Carina and her family have horses, three dogs, two cats, and chickens on their mini farm, including a large greenhouse.
Her early background is in the Medical field, but after moving to Canada from Germany 25 years ago, she has worked in Retail Management, Office Administration, HR, and Accounting.
Carina enjoys working with people, loves to laugh and learn, and strives for success in whatever she does.
Her family is mainly involved with horses and show jumping. Her husband is an Equestrian coach, and her middle daughter is an accomplished rider.
Stacy Benson
Administrative and Marketing Assistant
Stacy Benson brings people and excitement into the act of doing business, maximizes efficiencies and productivity and has a great sense of community!
Born and raised in Crowsnest Pass, Alberta, with a passion for music, dance, and theatre, Stacy made her way to study film and television in Vancouver shortly after high school, where she spent seven exciting years feeding her love of the arts. The call of Southern Alberta brought her back in 2014, where she met her husband, and she now resides in Pincher Creek.
When she’s not working, Stacy enjoys adventuring with her husband, toddler and two dogs. They love fly fishing, snowboarding and camping. She also will never turn down a day at the spa.
Nathalie DeCosta
Accounting Assistant
Nathalie has over 20 years of accounting experience. She has always enjoyed working with numbers and loves working in an environment where every detail matters. During her spare time, she enjoys painting, camping and spending time with her husband and their two spoiled dogs.
Andrea Matrangolo
Director, Talent and Brand Marketing
Andrea Matrangolo is a Talent and Brand leader who is passionate about all things people, culture, employer brand—and, of course, animals!
Over her career, Andrea has partnered with teams to attract and retain top talent, strengthen culture, streamline talent processes, and build meaningful, authentic employer brands. She loves matching the right people with the right opportunities and is especially excited about sharing Mosaic’s unique story with the world.
Andrea lives in Calgary, AB with her husband, their son and daughter, and their rambunctious springer spaniel. In her spare time, she and her family love spending time outdoors.
Nirmala Shetty
Accounting Manager, PCP
With a Master’s degree in Commerce specializing in Accounting and a robust background in small business finance management, Nirmala has cultivated a diverse career spanning across India and Canada.
Originally from India, Nirmala’s Canadian journey began in the construction sector, where her affinity for numbers and passion for problem-solving became evident. She quickly transitioned into accounting roles, demonstrating a commitment to integrity, transparency, and objectivity in financial management.
Certified as a Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP), Nirmala ensures meticulous adherence to regulations at Mosaic, allowing our team to focus on what they do best — providing exceptional veterinary care. Her experience includes collaborating with stakeholders globally and managing expectations to foster strong partnerships and drive mutual success. Her commitment to continuous improvement by optimizing processes contributes to achieving organizational goals.
Outside of work, Nirmala enjoys exploring nature with her family, hiking new trails, discovering new destinations and experiencing different cultures.
Dr. Greg Andrews
Executive Chairman/Past President
Dr. Greg Andrews is an Equine Veterinarian who has practiced in the Calgary area for 37 years and previously held the position of CEO at Canada’s largest equine practice, Moore Equine Veterinary Centre. In 2016, Dr. Andrews and a group of like-minded veterinarians founded Mosaic Veterinary Partners, which he led as CEO until late 2022. Dr. Andrews is now involved with the Mosaic team as Executive Chairman and is proud to be ICD.D certified by the Institute of Corporate Directors.
Throughout his career, Dr. Andrews has been the President of the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association and Western Canadian Association of Equine Practitioners, and has been involved with the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association and Equine Canada. He has served on the advisory boards of the University of Calgary’s School of Veterinary Medicine and the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Andrews both initiated and chaired Business Infusions Ltd., a leading equine software provider, and served as Board Chairman of CNAD Ltd., a private bioinformatics/genomics company based out of Calgary and Austria. In his spare time, Dr. Andrews loves nothing more than letting nature challenge his body on his bike or skis, and is equally as passionate about challenging his mind through his board and business engagements.
Dr. Jonathan Leicht
CEO/President
Dr. Jonathan Leicht received his BSc. in Agriculture, Animal Sciences with distinction from the University of Saskatchewan before completing his DVM degree at WCVM in 2009. Over the past 10 + years, Jonathan has worked in clinical practice as well as in a wide range of progressive leadership positions, including veterinary sales and operations in general practice, emergency, and specialty settings. In 2021, Jonathan joined as a partner with Mosaic Veterinary Partners, becoming its CEO in October 2022. Jonathan is passionate about helping guide and grow veterinary businesses, as well as helping team members achieve greater success in their own careers. When he’s not working or recording The Veterinary Project’s weekly podcast, you will find him outside with his wife and two kids skating, skiing, and exploring the world together.
David Gordon, CFO, CFA
Partner
David is an experienced CFO for both public and private corporations, including financial reporting on IFRS standards. He has 18 years of management (including a CEO role) and financial experience leading enterprise-scale projects in Medical Technology, Information Technology, Energy, Real Estate, Utilities, and Financial Products for public and private companies such as Enbridge Inc., Suncor Energy, the City of Calgary, and more than a dozen small-cap public companies. His acumen in financial reporting, corporate valuations, business analytics, and development of key-value drivers, combined with management of people, processes, and resources, positions him as a key executive for firms navigating growth and change and seeking performance optimization. Mr. Gordon has developed strategies and tactics at the C-suite level and then managed implementation to attain the results. Examples include turnarounds, restructurings, start-ups, employee re-sizing and relocations, facility expansions, and sales/marketing plans. He has co-managed a $3.0 BN North American equity fund and raised over $100M in public and private capital syndicates for various SMEs and middle-market companies, including during his time as an investment banker with CIBC. Mr. Gordon holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation. He earned a degree in Business Commerce from the University of Calgary in 2003.
Juliette Rosiechuk
Director, People and Culture, CPHR
Juliette is a dedicated Human Resources professional who is truly passionate about helping people feel supported and inspired at work. She thrives on strengthening employee engagement, nurturing high-performing teams, and creating thoughtful systems and processes that help organizations flourish. With over 25 years in HR Leadership roles with rapidly growing organizations, she has played a key role in building workplaces grounded in growth, learning, and genuine care for people.
A lifelong learner herself, Juliette finds real joy in working closely with employees and leaders to make their work experience more positive and fulfilling. Outside of work, Juliette and her husband enjoy travel and spending time at their seasonal RV spot on a nearby lake. After 25 years in the Calgary area, they are delighted to be back in central Alberta.
